Farm Road 193

Farm Road 193 will be closed between the hours of 9 AM and 5 PM each day Tuesday & Wednesday November 10 & 11, 2009. This closure will occur between Farm Road 156 & Farm Road 164. This closure will be for Bank Stabilization along waterway, weather permitting. The roadway will be open each evening. This work is being performed by the Missouri Department of Conservation. Please Use Alternate Routes During Closure.

Battlefield

Battlefield Rd will be closed beginning Wednesday October 28, 2009 the road will be closed 24 hours a day. This closure will occur between Blackman Rd & Woodstock Ave. This closure will be for Road Reconstruction, weather permitting. The intersection of Blackman Rd & Battlefield will be open but there will be no access to Battlefield west of Blackman Rd. Please Use Alternate Routes. The intersection of Woodstock & Battlefield will also be accessible. There will be No Through Traffic During Closure on Battlefield. This closure is expected to last until February 2010.

Broadview

Broadview will be closed between the hours of 7:30 AM and 4:30 PM Monday October 26, 2009. This closure will occur between Farm Road 130 & State Highway 266 (Chestnut Expressway). This closure will be for Pipe Installation, weather permitting. Please Use Alternate Routes.

Farm Road 128 Kat's Bridge (also known as Prospect Bridge)

Farm Road 128, between Farm Road 45 & Farm Road 51 was Closed Monday October 27, 2008. The road will be closed until further notice. No traffic on bridge.
Current Status
Based on the findings by the County Bridge Inspector and recommendations from the County's engineering consultant, the County has determined that the existing bridge cannot be rehabilitated and reopened to the public. A new bridge must be constructed to replace it. This will require the County to address the archaeological issue. The county is currently working with a cultural resources consultant, as well as Federal and State agencies and the Native American Tribes whose ancestors lived in this area to develop a plan to properly address these sensitive sites. As a part of that process, the County has developed three replacement options for Kat's Bridge. These options are listed in the future projects tab here on the Greene County Highway Departments Website.
Currently the most widely considered proposal is #2.

Farm Road 97

Farm Road 97 will be closed beginning Monday August 17, 2009. This closure will occur between Farm Road 112 & State Route EE. This closure will be for Bridge Replacement. This closure will last approximately 150 days, weather permitting. Estimated completion date end of January 2010. Please use alternate routes during closure. No Through Traffic During Closure.
