Farm Road 141
Farm Road 141 north of Farm Road 190, southbound lane, will be closed starting Monday, March 22 thru Thursday, March 25, from 7:00 a.m. March 22, to 5:30 p.m., March 25 for shoulder work, weather permitting.
Farm Road 229
Farm Road 229, between Farm Road 50 and Farm Road 239 will be closed starting Tuesday, March 16 thru Thursday, March 18, 8:00 a.m to 4:30 p.m. daily for pipe installation, weather permitting. Detour route: Farm Road 239 and Farm Road 231.
Farm Road 34
Farm Road 34 will be closed between the hours of 8 AM and 4:30 PM each day beginning Monday March 8 through Thursday 11, 2010. This closure will occur between Farm Road 81 & Farm Road 93. This closure will be for Right of Way Repairs prior to Box Culvert Installation, weather permitting. The roadway will be open each evening. Detour route will be Farm Road 22 or Farm Road 42.
Farm Road 99
Farm Road 99 will be closed between the hours of 9 AM and 3 PM Thursday March 4, 2010. This closure will occur between Farm Road 26 & Farm Road 44. This closure will be for Pipe Installation, weather permitting. Please use alternate routes during closure.
Blackman Rd
The Intersection of Blackman Road and Battlefield Road will be closed at 9 a.m. Monday March 8, 2010, weather permitting. This closure is expected to last until May 2010. No through traffic during closure.
This closure will allow the county's contractor to obliterate the existing asphalt and raise the intersection about three feet, to match the new elevation of Battlefield Road, currently under construction. The adjacent portion of Battlefield, between Woodstock Avenue and Blackman, remains closed to through traffic. Local access to homes and businesses in the area will be maintained.
Motorists are encouraged to bypass the new closure by using Farm Road 193 and Farm Road 156 (Sunset) to access Blackman Road.

Farm Road 137(Scenic)
Farm Road 137 (Scenic) between Katella to the west and Primrose to the east, will be closed Thursday March 4, 2010 at 9 AM to 3 PM. It will be closed for Road Repairs, weather permitting. No through traffic during closure.
Detour to the south bound lane will be marked - Roxbury to Holiday to Katella to Scenic
Detour for north bound lane will be marked - Katella to Holiday to Roxbury to Scenic.
Farm Road 4 Bridge
Farm Road 4 will be closed beginning Monday December 7, 2009. This closure will occur between Farm Road 93 & State Route JJ. The road way will be closed 24 hours a day until job complete. This closure will be for Bridge Deck Replacement & Rehabilitation, weather permitting. This closure is approximately 1 mile west of Farm Road 93. Please Use Alternate Routes During Closure. No Through Traffic During Closure.
The estimated completion date of this project has been extended to the end of March 2010 due to weather delays.

Battlefield
Battlefield Rd will be closed beginning Wednesday October 28, 2009 the road will be closed 24 hours a day. This closure will occur between Blackman Rd & Woodstock Ave. This closure will be for Road Reconstruction, weather permitting.
Extension of Battlefield Road Closure due to Inclement Weather Updated 2-10-10
Due to the winter weather we have experienced for the last several weeks, Greene County's contractor has not been able to work on construction of Battlefield Road. Since December 22, operations to haul in fill dirt and compact it properly for the new roadway have been shut down due to freezing temperatures and winter precipitation. Once the snow is gone, it will take several days of warmer temperatures and sunshine to dry out the ground enough to support construction equipment and activities.
This delay has pushed off the reopening of Battlefield Road past the late February time frame we originally announced. At this time, the contractor estimates that Battlefield Road will remain closed until May. Weather conditions over the remainder of February, March and April will have a lot to do with whether the contractor can meet this new time frame.
We understand that the closure of Battlefield Road impacts many folks, including those who use it to get to work or school everyday as well as those who live along the alternate routes. We also know that delays such as this make the impact more difficult. and we apologize for the inconvenience. Below is a copy of the press release we are sending out today. We will continue to keep you posted as conditions improve and the project progresses.

Farm Road 128 Kat's Bridge (also known as Prospect Bridge)
Farm Road 128, between Farm Road 45 & Farm Road 51 was Closed Monday October 27, 2008. The road will be closed until further notice. No traffic on bridge.
Current Status
Based on the findings by the County Bridge Inspector and recommendations from the County's engineering consultant, the County has determined that the existing bridge cannot be rehabilitated and reopened to the public. A new bridge must be constructed to replace it. This will require the County to address the archaeological issue. The county is currently working with a cultural resources consultant, as well as Federal and State agencies and the Native American Tribes whose ancestors lived in this area to develop a plan to properly address these sensitive sites. As a part of that process, the County has developed three replacement options for Kat's Bridge. These options are listed in the future projects tab here on the Greene County Highway Departments Website.
Currently the most widely considered proposal is #2.
