The role of juvenile probation is that of a catalyst for developing safe communities and healthy youth and families.
The Greene County Juvenile and Family Court’s Probation Unit strives to work with youth placed under supervision and their family to achieve success while remaining in the community. Eight Probation Officers, 2 Supervisors and 1 administrative assistant work together to identify community partners and resources to meet the needs of the youth under the supervision of our office, while being attentive to the safety of the community for which we serve. Each youth is individually evaluated and placed on a supervision level and in a multitude of programming components that will best meet their needs, offering the greatest opportunity for success. In effort to do this, each officer in the unit is engaged in the proactive development of initiatives and programs such as: GEMS, RADAR, Teen Court, JDAI, CYPM, DAP, and SToPP. To be a partner with any of these programs or initiatives.
