Academy Program

Residential

13-week residential program for non-violent adolescent males (ages 13-17) who are involved with the Greene County Juvenile Court system for a law violation. Individual, group and family therapy are provided by licensed therapists. On-site education is provided by Springfield R-12.

  • GCYA is a registered boy scout troop with the Ozarks Trails Council of the Boy Scouts of America and participates in service projects throughout the community.
  • Personal and moral development is encouraged through conflict resolution and team building activities.
  • Youth Specialists work closely with the youth, tracking their progress and encouraging them and serving as role models
  • Formal treatment meetings are held every three weeks, where each resident's progress and needs are addressed.
  • A holistic treatment plan is developed for each resident
  • Parents or guardians are a valued and integral part of the treatment process

Day Treatment

Educational services and group therapy are provided to adolescent males who are involved with the juvenile court who do not require out-of-home placement, but for whom other educational programs in the community are not immediately available.
