Intersection of Farm Road 151 @ Farm Road 96.
On Tuesday, May 6, Greene County's contractor on the Farm Road 151 project is planning to close the intersection of Farm Road 151 and Farm Road 96 to ALL TRAFFIC to tear out the existing roadway and raise the intersection to its future elevation. This work will impact all four legs of the intersection, including the section of Farm Road 151 south to Meadowgate. The contractor will be building the storm drainage system and curb and gutter and placing the base course of asphalt before reopening the intersection to traffic.
This phase of construction is expected to take two months. NO TRAFFIC WILL BE ALLOWED THROUGH THE INTERSECTION OF FARM ROAD 151 AND FARM ROAD 96 DURING THIS TIME. All motorists coming from the north on Farm Road 151 will need to detour at Farm Road 84 east to Farm Road 159 t or west to Farm Road 141. The attached map shows these alternate routes. No detour signing will be installed at this time. Access to the Beverly Hills and Huntington Point Subdivisions will be available from Farm Road 151 south and also Farm Road 102.
Property owners living within the construction limits will have access to their homes, although they may need to drive on dirt or base rock at times during the construction.


Farm Road 141 between Farm Road 56 & State Route CC will be closed beginning Tuesday May 6, 2008. This closure will be between the hours of 7:30 AM and 4:30 PM each day (Mon - Thur). This closure will last approximately 1 month, weather permitting. This closure is for Road Repairs. The roadway will be open for the weekends Friday through Sunday each weekend. The roadway will also be open on Memorial Day May 26.

Farm Road 48 will be closed beginning Monday April 14, 2008. This closure will be for Box Culvert Replacement. This closure will be between Farm Road 45 & Farm Road 53. This closure is expected to last approximately two weeks, weather permitting. Detour route would be Farm Road 36. No Through Traffic During Closure. Thank you for your patience and cooperation.

Farm Road 171 will be closed between Farm Road 66 & Farm Road 74 for Box Culvert Construction, Roadway Realignment, & Paving. This Closure will begin Monday October 29, 2007. The detour routes for this closure will be Farm Road 175. No Through Traffic During Closure. Thank you for your patience & cooperation. The estimated completion date of this project is the Beginning of May 2008, weather permitting. This closure has been extended due to weather.

Greene County Farm Road 68 at Route 65 North of Springfield to Close Permanently MoDOT, District 8, Springfield -- Greene County Farm Road 68 on the westside of Route 65 will close permanently at Route 65 on Tuesday or Wednesday, Sept. 4 or 5, the Missouri Department of Transportation said. The farm road closing is necessary to make room for the new lanes being built as Route 65 is four-laned between Springfield and Fair Grove. Those who use Farm Road 68 may drive to and from Route 65 on Farm Road 203 to the north to reach Greene County Route KK or Farm Road 197 to the south to reach Greene County Route AA. Residents along Farm Road 68 west of Route 65 have been notified of the closing. The Route 65 widening project includes building two new northbound lanes of Route 65, new crossovers at Bluegrass Road, Greene County Route AA/C and Greene County Route KK/A and resurfacing and diamond-grinding the existing lanes of Route 65 between Springfield and Fair Grove. Emery Sapp and Sons of Columbia is the prime contractor on the project, doing the work for a low bid amount of $16.7 million. Farm Road 4 is closed between Farm Road 93 and State Route JJ. The road is closed for damage to Bridge Approach Slabs caused by flooding and heavy rains Monday August 20, 2007. Road is currently under repair, weather permitting.
